ARCH 22A
January 14, 2008
- The human body: objects. If assembled properly, have male or female. All parts make up a whole—for it to become a functioning thing.
- Look at the parts that make a whole. That is what is formed.
- Need to understand how its formed—visually, memories, and experience.
- Majority status quo—something that is there.
- There because it's comfortable. It's easy
- Can an object have two identities?
- Humans duplicative
- What happens when your lover is a robot?
- Investigate
- Connections w/ objects and things but not physical relations like two people. More time with memory and senses. Body parts functionality. Sense: see, hear, feel, taste, smell, and sixth sense.
- What we use senses for has a function and can help relate a part to a memory/image.
- Closer to a human body—object with a person; connection to body and exploring an experience.
- Advertising has sensuality—sex sells, but not in every age range. Body and sensuality has age related value. Way of presenting idea and think of audience.
- Place in some kind of environment which creates experience.
- Outer body experience—physical and virtual environment. Chatting with someone online is virtual—how do you describe it? A park has trees, grass, benches, etc.
- Interact mentally when virtually. Have your history and it blankets you and use mechanisms but can't physically be there. Create an existence out of your own comfort.
- One man theatre when virtual
- Can use senses in park. Tactile environment. Have memories and can create new ones.
- Digital environment—shapes different from shapes in heart.
